MY FIRST OFFICIAL BLOG POST

I’ve inherited a few clients where similar approaches were used.

I understand the question. In most cases when I’ve seen one-off MMS sends go out without A2P approval, it’s because they were sent through an existing account or number that was already registered under a different business, or through a setup that wasn’t owned by the advertiser or agency directly.

I’ve inherited a few clients where similar approaches were used.

And while they can work temporarily, they don’t hold up for repeat sends and they introduce delivery, compliance, and liability risk for everyone involved.

Because of that, I’m not able to reverse-engineer or reuse a setup like that reliably or responsibly. For anything ongoing — even one-time sends for different advertisers — carriers now expect the sender and brand to be clearly registered.

That’s why I’m recommending we move forward with proper A2P registration so the campaigns are stable, repeatable, and not dependent on a workaround.

If timing is the concern, I’m happy to talk through options and realistic timelines so you can decide how you’d like to proceed.

Best,
Michelle
